“First Time”, “Save Up All Your Tears”, “Hide Your Heart”, “Tears in the Rain”: Robin Beck’s voice has made these songs unforgettable.
After several projects, including the Broadway musical “Got to Go Disco”, she released her first album “Sweet Talk” in 1979. As a singer of advertising jingles, she worked with the biggest names in the business. At the end of the eighties, she sang “First Time” for a Coca-Cola commercial. The song became so popular that it was released as a single, topped the charts in many countries for weeks and brought Robin Beck to stages worldwide, including “Top of the Pops”.
This was followed by the album “Trouble or Nothin’” with the singles “Save Up All Your Tears” and “Tears in the Rain”, which brought her back into the top ten. Steve Lukather (Toto), Paul Stanley (Kiss), Diane Warren and Desmond Child, among others, co-wrote. To this day, Robin Beck is one of the most famous singers of the AOR.
As a sought-after background singer, she has shared the stage with Patti Austin, Tina Turner and Richard Marx and recorded with David Bowie, Michael Bolton, Deep Purple and Cher. On stage, the small woman with the big voice is a hurricane.
