Drob'n auf'm Berg (Zwergenlied)

Every village has its combo, every valley its band. That’s a good thing, because otherwise DIE JUNGEN ZILLERTALER wouldn’t be on stage about 160 times a year, but 600 times and that, with 365 days a year, is conceivably impossible. So many performances are a level that a band has to work for once. Truly, the three JUZIs have managed to do that with flying colors in the more than 20 years of their existence.

The difference makes it and it is not as obvious with any formation as with this trio, because three minutes of television are a gladly used, but only small window that allows a view of what the JUZIs have to offer on stage.

The difference is the live show! In their 18-ton truck, they cart in a lot of light and other effects that are among the finest in show business, but even that alone doesn’t make it. A stage show of the JUZIs is like a power plant. Energy is produced that can only be switched off after hours. Exhausted but happy, the audience and musicians part ways at the end. Markus, Daniel and Michael raise the mood from the first minute and keep the level. It always goes to 12 and yes, admittedly, the ballad part is manageable. The audience is therefore always on the move. If other bands provide group gymnastics for the fans, then with the JUZIs it is the folksy “Music Iron Man”! Standing still is a no-go! “We can give peace at home in the parlour, on stage we are under constant power,” they say and the fuel for a show lasting several hours are the hits.

“Fliegerlied”, “Tannenzapfenzupfen”, “Auf der Bruck trarara”, the dwarfs hopping from summit to peak, “100 times crazier” – the fun and fun factor is the top priority!

“To call our gigs party sound is the sheer understatement,” explains Markus and is much happier when they are called “folksy party power punkers”.

“Our audience cut starts with the children and then there is no age limit. I think people also like to come to us because together, audience and musicians, we are all young and young at heart… In our hearts, in our heads and therefore allow ourselves to be exuberant together with the audience for a few hours,” Markus is looking for an explanation of why the JUZIs are the way they are and why people like them.

Is that the difference? “We think so… no, we’re sure,” say the three guys from the Zillertal!
