Wolfgang Niedecken has been on stage with BAP since 1976, and the group was the first to reach number one in the German album charts with lyrics in dialect. “Verdamp lang her”, “Kristallnaach” and “Frau, ich freu mich” are part of the core of German rock, over seven million records sold speak for themselves.
Live there is guitar rock from a band that has been playing together for decades, and lyrics that combine attitude and stories without ever being didactic. The Kölsch is no obstacle – the choruses work everywhere.
