Wet Wet Wet stand for warm, soulful pop from Scotland. The band came together in Clydebank near Glasgow in the early eighties and became one of the most successful British bands of their time overnight with their debut album “Popped In Souled Out” (1987).
From this album come “Wishing I Was Lucky”, “Sweet Little Mystery” and “Angel Eyes”. In 1988 they reached number 1 in the UK with their version of “With a Little Help from My Friends”, followed by “Goodnight Girl” in 1992. Wet Wet Wet celebrated their greatest success in 1994 with “Love Is All Around” from the film “Four Weddings and a Funeral”: The song topped the British charts for 15 weeks and became a hit worldwide.
Kevin Simm has been the band’s singer since 2018. The Brit was a member of Liberty X and won “The Voice UK” in 2016; he succeeded Marti Pellow, who had left the band in 2017. Together with founding member Graeme Clark and guitarist Graeme Duffin, he released the album “The Journey” in 2021. For the 40th anniversary of “Popped In Souled Out”, the band is going on tour again.
Live, Wet Wet Wet combine great emotions with sing-along moments: a strong voice, a well-rehearsed band and hits that everyone knows. An act for concert halls, open airs, galas and corporate events.
