“Blockbuster” reached number one in Great Britain in 1973, “Ballroom Blitz”, “Teenage Rampage” and “The Six Teens” followed. With “Fox on the Run” and “Love Is Like Oxygen”, the band increasingly wrote themselves from 1974 onwards and also conquered the USA. Over thirty-five million records sold.
The sound is unmistakable: hard guitars, high choir voices, choruses that are built for sing-alongs. Live, the program is loud, fast and consists practically only of titles that everyone knows.
