The KLF are the mega project of the early 90s. They have sold over 30 million records, making them the world’s No.1 of 90s acts.
The voice of many hits comes from Wanda Dee. She grew up in the Bronx. Her mother was Freda Payne, a jazz and pop singer who worked with Duke Ellington, Berry Gordy, and Quincy Jones. While still a teenager, Wanda Dee became the first female hip-hop DJ as a protégé of hip-hop DJ Herc, who gave her the stage name “Wanda Dee”. Eventually, she came to Afrika Bambaataa, who introduced her to his Zulu Nation. Alongside her friend and business partner, rapper Richard Sisco, she appeared in “Beat Street,” a film about the hip-hop subculture.
In 1986, she released her first single, “Blue Eyes”, produced by the British hit factory Stock Aitken Waterman. In 1989, she achieved her first major success with “The Goddess”.
Together with The KLF, “die Göttin” now provides a revival of the really big hits, such as “The last train to trancentral” or “Justified and Ancient” and brings the dance sounds of the 90s back to the here and now! Come with us on this journey through time and secure this live experience!
