Sit And Wait

Sydney Youngblood, born in 1960 in San Antonio, Texas (USA), was already on stage at a very young age and played with Daddy’s “Scheiben” as a three-year-old. What used to be a game became a passion and a purpose in life. As a six-year-old, he won a young talent competition in his hometown. At that time, his Native American grandmother called him “Youngblood” and thus gave his liveliness the appropriate name. In the mid-80s, he played and sang in bands, was on the road as a duo with the Charles Show for a few months until he started his solo project with various well-known producers in 1988.

With his debut album “Feeling Free”, which was first released in England, he made his breakthrough in 1989. The releases of the smash hits “IF ONLY I COULD” and “SIT AND WAIT” stormed the charts worldwide and became his personal trademark. Sydney Youngblood also had success with the Etta James classic “I’D RATHER GO BLIND” and secured his chart entry in the USA with this hit.

Whether on his albums or live on stage – Sydney convinces again and again with his expressive voice and his virtuosity on bass and flute. With his individual music style, Sydney Youngblood has managed to sell over 6 million records worldwide to date. Over 20 years in the music business- several top 10 placements worldwide- 4 albums- numerous singles and countless awards from the music industry are the facts behind the exceptional artist and entertainer Sydney Youngblood.
