Few artists can look back on such a versatile career as Maggie Reilly: from the soul and funk beginnings of the seventies with her band Cado Belle to the world career as a singer of the Mike Oldfield Group to the celebrated solo artist.
In 1976, she recorded her first album with Cado Belle and toured with greats such as Poco. In 1981, she made her worldwide breakthrough as the singer of the Mike Oldfield Group. Her voice made “Moonlight Shadow”, “Family Man”, “To France” and “Foreign Affair” the soundtrack of millions, and these songs are still played on the radio today.
At the end of the eighties, she took time for her family. In 1992, she returned with her first solo album “Echoes”: The single “Everytime We Touch” stormed to the top of the international charts and showed that the Scotswoman could also build on her successes as a solo artist and songwriter. This was followed by “Wait”, “Follow the Midnight Sun”, “Listen to Your Heart”, “Every Single Heartbeat” and “Always You”. In the dance version by Cascada, “Everytime We Touch” later became a worldwide hit for a second time.
