KC Rebell skillfully pulls out all the stops of gangsta rap and serves his huge fanbase with lyrics that have content and are not just out for pose.
The rapper came to Germany as the son of Kurdish parents at the age of 7 and grew up in Bremen.
His stage name says it all even in his school days – as a real “rebel” he grabs the microphone at school events and raps diss tracks against teachers.
It quickly becomes clear – music, especially hip-hop, is his passion.
Although football could also have been a successful option for him. But after a brawl between the referee and him, he gets a ban. So he and his buddy at the time, Mesut Özil, have to go their separate ways.
Through school, he met the rapper PA Sports. They were united by their passion for hip-hop and so the two founded the duo “SAW” (Black on White) and released a mixtape.
Further collaborations followed until KC Rebell dedicated himself to his solo career in 2011 and released the debut album “Derdo Derdo”, which means “problems, problems” in Kurdish.
Only one year later, the follow-up “Rebellismus” was released, which found its way into the German album charts.
But KC Rebell first has to land on Farid Bang’s label to celebrate his breakthrough. Because in 2013 his album “Banger rebellieren” is released there and lands directly at number 2 in the charts.
From now on, there is no holding back. KC Rebell follows up, again and again.
The albums “Rebellution”, “Fata Morgana”, “Abstand” and “Hasso” all placed at the top of the German hit lists in the following years.
The single “DNA”, together with Summer Cem & Capital Bra, conquered No.1 in Germany and Austria in 2019 and added to the rapper’s gold and platinum collection.
The current album “Rebell Army” was able to place in the top 5 again in 2022 and makes you hot for more tracks from the hiphopper.
KC Rebell has come to stay and is one of the biggest rappers in the country. Book him live now!
