Farid Bang is the classic gangsta rapper, because music saved Farid from prison.
While one after the other of his friends at the time ended up in prison, Farid Bang seemed to be slowly catching himself.
He took on odd jobs on construction sites and tried to somehow get out of the vicious circle of violence and crime.
He discovered music for himself rather on the side, although he had never really had a great passion for rap before. “The first hip hop album I ever heard was ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.”
But Farid was more impressed by 50 Cent’s muscles than by his musical skills at the time. It was not for nothing that he trained like a man possessed at that time to steel his muscles.
But fortunately, rap also became his passion. Because the very first album “Asphalt Massaka” was called “Best Newcomer” by the trade press.
The collab work “Jung, Brutal, Gutaussehend” together with Kollegah became the first celebrated success and landed in the German charts.
From then on, Farid Bang did not shy away from any confrontation and was able to further expand his fame with one or the other diss track.
In 2012, the album “Der Letzte Tag Deiner Lebens” was released and landed at number 3 in the charts. The second part of the “Jung, Brutal, Gutaussehend” collab with Kollegah made it to the top of number 1, as did the solo record “Killa”.
The latter was released on his own label Banger Musik, with which he produces and distributes other rappers in addition to his own music.
But he is not only musically at the top – he can also be seen as an actor in a supporting role in the most successful German film of 2013 “Fack ju Göhte”.
In the meantime, Farid Bang is a regular guest on the pole position of the charts. Whether with his solo albums “Asphalt Massaka 3”, “Asoziale Morookkaner” or the collab albums “Jung, brutal und gutaussehend III” and “Platin war gestern”, both with Kollegah, as well as “Deutschrap brandneu” with Capital Bra.
