Camouflage is one of the most successful German synthpop bands. Founded in 1984 in Bietigheim-Bissingen, the band achieved an international breakthrough with “The Great Commandment” (1987): The single ran in the dance charts in the USA in 1988 and made Camouflage one of the few German groups to gain a foothold on American radio.
This was followed by the albums “Voices & Images” (1988), “Methods of Silence” (1989) with “Love Is a Shield” and “Meanwhile” (1991). The combination of cool synthesizer pads, clear melodies and Marcus Meyn’s baritone still shapes the band’s sound today and has influenced its own generation of electronic acts.
Camouflage is still on the road live today – on its own tours, at festivals of the electronic scene and on big stages such as the Night of the Proms and “The 80s live”. The band around Marcus Meyn and Heiko Maile is on stage with a show that combines their classics and newer material.
