Carol Decker burst into the music scene in 1987 as the frontwoman of T’Pau. With her voice and red hair, she impressed the audience from the first moment.
The debut album “Bridge of Spies” went quadruple platinum. “Heart and Soul” stayed in the US Billboard charts for half a year, “China in Your Hand” was number 1 in Great Britain for five weeks and brought a nomination for the Brit Awards. Carol Decker is one of the few who had a number 1 album and a number 1 single at the same time.
The band name comes from “Star Trek”, where a high-ranking Vulcan priestess is called T’Pau. The original band disbanded in 1991, and Carol has been touring under the name T’Pau ever since with changing line-ups. In 2015, the album “Pleasure & Pain” was released and brought a celebrated return; on the sold-out acoustic tour afterwards, she also presented her autobiography “Heart and Soul”.
In Great Britain, Carol Decker is also a sought-after actress and a welcome guest on talk shows.
