The starting point was the project MYSTERIOUS ART, which achieved chart success in 1989 with the singles DAS OMEN – Teil 1 and CARMA – OMEN 2. In 1994, MIKE STAAB, head and producer of MYSTERIOUS ART, began to release new productions under the name MAGIC AFFAIR and was immediately successful throughout Europe and beyond. The name of the first single OMEN III and the band name, which appeared on the first record cover only as M.A., tied in with the band MYSTERIOUS ART and their OMEN singles.
OMEN III made it to NUMBER ONE in the German charts. For this, the project won the ECHO in 1995, as the MOST SUCCESSFUL DANCE ACT. Until then, hits such as »Give me all your Love«, »In the Middle Of The Night« and »Fire« made it into the Top 10 of the European Charts. Further chart successes in Europe followed until 1998, including »Energy of light«. After a break of a few years, the single »Fly away« was released in 2004 (with Franca Morgano). Although not placed in the German sales charts, the single was a hit in the clubs and reached the TOP 5 of the German club charts. In 2009, MAGIC AFFAIR appeared with singer FRANCA MORGANO and rapper A.K. S.W.I.F.T in the Ultimate Chart Show on RTL.
MAGIC AFFAIR is starting again after a long break. They still captivate LIVE with a strong stage presence and an incomparable energy!
