Phil Bates joined the stage in 1993 as the lead singer and guitarist of Electric Light Orchestra Part II, the official continuation of the Electric Light Orchestra under Bev Bevan. When the band became The Orchestra in 1999, he remained their defining member until 2011.
Since 2011, he has been bringing the great classics of the Electric Light Orchestra back to the stage with his Berlin band and, if desired, with orchestra: “Mr. Blue Sky”, “Don’t Bring Me Down”, “Evil Woman”, “Telephone Line”, “Livin’ Thing” and “Sweet Talking Woman”. More than 500 concerts in Europe, Russia and South Africa have been recorded since then.
The ELO Experience is classic rock with strings, choirs and hits that every generation sings along to – played by a musician who has sung these songs himself on the big stages for decades.
