When Akon enters the stage, a jolt goes through the audience. Everyone recognizes this voice after two notes, and then they come every minute: “Lonely”, “Smack That”, “Don’t Matter”, “Sexy Bitch”. A set like a radio station, in which only the greatest hits are played.

The American-Senegalese superstar is one of the defining figures of the 2000s. Over 35 million albums sold, a dozen number one placements worldwide, collaborations with Michael Jackson, Eminem, Lady Gaga and David Guetta. As a producer and discoverer, he started careers that continue to this day.

Live he is a full professional and entertainer in one. He goes into the crowd, stretches choruses until the whole place sings, and in a few minutes creates a closeness that is rarely experienced with artists of this magnitude. Anyone who has seen him live once understands why he has been on the biggest stages in the world for twenty years.
