Camouflage is one of the most successful German synthpop bands. Founded in 1984 in Bietigheim-Bissingen, the band achieved an international breakthrough with “The Great Commandment” (1987): The single ran in the dance charts in the USA in 1988 and made Camouflage one of the few German groups to gain a foothold on American radio. <\/p>\n\n
This was followed by the albums “Voices & Images” (1988), “Methods of Silence” (1989) with “Love Is a Shield” and “Meanwhile” (1991). The combination of cool synthesizer pads, clear melodies and Marcus Meyn’s baritone still shapes the band’s sound today and has influenced its own generation of electronic acts. <\/p>\n\n
Camouflage is still on the road live today – on its own tours, at festivals of the electronic scene and on big stages such as the Night of the Proms and “The 80s live”.
