In 1979, the sisters from Philadelphia recorded an album with Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic that made disco history. “He’s the Greatest Dancer”, “Lost in Music”, “Thinking of You” and the British number one hit “Frankie” in 1985 followed. “We Are Family” became the anthem of sports teams, movements and family celebrations and is archived in the Library of Congress as a culturally significant sound document.
