A quarter of Blue – and the only band member who also made it into the British Top Ten several times solo.
With Blue, Simon Webbe landed the number one hits “Too Close” and “If You Come Back” from 2001 onwards. The band’s debut album alone sold over 1.8 million copies in the UK. In 2005, his first solo album “Sanctuary” followed, awarded double platinum: “Lay Your Hands” and “No Worries” each reached number four in the British charts, “Lay Your Hands” also reached number two in Italy and “No Worries” number two in the Netherlands. With “Grace” (2006) and “Smile” (2017) he added two more albums.
Television audiences also know him: In 2014, he danced his way to the finale of “Strictly Come Dancing” and then won the show’s arena tour. He stood on stage at the London Palladium in the musical “Sister Act”.
For 2000s formats, open airs and corporate events – a name that the audience immediately associates with the great boy band years.
