If you are looking for the summer hits of the 90s, you will inevitably come across the songs of “No Mercy”. The successful project was launched in 1996 by hit producer Frank Farian (Milli Vanilli, Boney M., La Bouche). The very first single “Missing” reached top positions in the charts. The cover of the hit of “Everything but the girl” convinced with its flamenco flair. The band around lead singer Marty Cintron then made the worldwide breakthrough with the single “Where do you go” – still one of the most popular hits of the 90s, which should not be missing at any 90s party.
The memorable and unique voice of the charismatic singer as well as the romantic-summery composition of the track earned No Mercy a lot of gold and platinum awards. Not only did the song land at the top of the charts in Europe, but also in the USA the song landed at number 5. The debut album “My Promise” then topped all expectations and also garnered a lot of gold and platinum records.
After the two uptempo summer hits, No Mercy then proved that they are also the absolute ballad kings and sent “When I die” into the race – with great success, the song landed at the top of the charts throughout Europe and the USA also celebrated the song in their Billboard charts.
No Mercy had long since shed the stamp of the one-hit wonder and fired one hit after the other into the European clubs, radios and charts: “Please don ́t go”, “Kiss you all over”, “Hello how are you” and “More than a feeling” – to name just a few.
Many people still associate the hits of No Mercy with a lot of memories of hot summer nights and romantic hours for two.
