Since 2012, CAPTAIN DANCE has played at a wide variety of locations and festivals. For example, huge parties were celebrated in the Festspielhaus Recklinghausen or open air at the Mendener Sommer. The five professional musicians got to know each other while studying music together and at various concerts in Enschede. Their passion for the music of the 90s has shaped this band. In a trashy 90s stage outfit, an unforgettable show is guaranteed. The two frontmen “Mr Boom” and “Kitty Kat” do not miss the opportunity to go into the audience to heat things up, for example to perform the Macarena dance. Selected fans are also invited to the stage from time to time. Many songs can be heard at CAPTAIN DANCE for the first time played by a live band. In August 2015, Worteffekte magazine wrote: “Children of the 90s had their hearts beat faster when the musicians sang hits like “Barbie Girl”, “Coco Jambo” or “Rhythm Is A Dancer” in a fat, authentic sound.”
