His version of “Wild World” reached the British Top Ten in 1988, and in 1990 “Close to You” was number one in the USA. “Just a Little Bit Longer”, the duet “Housecall” with Shabba Ranks and “That Girl” with Shaggy made him an international fixture.
Live he plays with a full band and relies on the melodic titles: less tempo, more singing, a lot of atmosphere. A performance that carries an evening without running it over.
